General information:
Born on 6 July 1966 in Schoten, Belgium.
Graduated from the University of Antwerp with a Law degree and the University of Leuven with a degree in International Relations.
Worked as a scientific collaborator at the Institute for European Policy (now known as LINES) of the University of Leuven and as an associate expert for UNODC in Lagos, Nigeria.
At the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs he served as attaché in Vientiane, head of cooperation in Algiers, head of mission in La Paz, counsellor in Geneva, director for humanitarian aid and transition in Brussels and chargé d’affaires in Niger and Chad.
He is married with 2 children.
